Being a burglar must be a stressful gig. All the staking out. Breaking in without going noticed. The high expenses of striped shirts, masks, and hats. Can you blame a burglar for having a little wine and relaxing during a job.
Only when he falls asleep mid-robbery.
A would-be burglar failed to finish his crime after he broke into a house, drank a bottle of wine and fell asleep on a sofa. The man stuffed items into a pillow case before settling down with the full bottle in Milton, Cambridge. The homeowner tried – unsuccessfully – to wake him before calling police.
A pillowcase? Did it have the word LOOT in Franklin Gothic Heavy font on the side? Playing to stereotypes is never a plan for success. Neither is getting drunk and passing out but one stupid move at a time.
